The Governing Body of Ongar Place School is made up of representatives from the Local Authority, Staff, Parents and the Community.
The Governors meet regularly each term at the Full Governing Body and Committees.
Governors have three core functions:
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
- Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
We have two Committees – Resources and Children & Learning, they each have their own terms of reference, see attached.
